JOB DESCRIPTION
Position: Marketing Manager
Reports To: Managing Director
Status: Fulltime
Position Responsibilities
Direct the development and implementation of Baniaz’s overall marketing and strategic positioning of the company’s products in the market. Facilitate development and management of distributorships nationwide and regionally through marketing and client services programs.
Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
1. Design, implement, and facilitate annual marketing plan for Baniaz products. Support and facilitate development and implementation of business/marketing plans.
2. Plan and administer marketing and operational budgets different product lines.
3. Plan and administer logistics for the movement of products from the factory to the warehouse and distributors/wholesalers:
· Coordinate production of products with staff and copacker(s)
· Handle all logistics relationships between Baniaz and copacker(s)
· Liaise with trucking firms to move products nationwide
· Acquire necessary documentation from NAFDAC for shipping products across border lines
· Monitor warehouse depot, shipping of products to warehouse, checkin/checkout of products from warehouse, and general inventory control
4. Oversee marketing development activities including:
· Scouting for new distributors/wholesalers and managing relationships with key accounts
· Gather business intelligence on competitors and propose schemes offers to consumers
· Develop proposals for marketing plans to promote and boost sales
· Meet with potential clients to present ideas and develop relationships
· Coordinate with regional and international offices on prospecting for clients
5. Organize and implement client relations including:
· client satisfaction surveys
· client development activities
· client skills training
· special events
6. Oversee Baniaz communications activities including:
· External communications and systems
· Internal communications and systems
· Public relations efforts
· External vendors and consultants
7. Develop and administer Baniaz marketing database which includes client and prospect information, mailing list applications, access to financial reports, etc.
8. Supervise marketing staff including staffing and hiring decisions within marketing department.
Qualifications
Education: University degree required. Concentration in Marketing, Business, or Communications preferred.
Experience: At least five years in marketing manager role within professional services environment. Strong leadership and consensus
building skills, marketing management and strategic planning experience, a proven track record in developing and administering amarketing program and coordinating product sales.
Required Skills: Superior marketing skills for selling merchandise. Must have high drive, able to work under extreme pressure, able to deliver on tight deadlines, be a self-starter, highly organized, and able to work well with personnel at all levels of the organization. Polished presentation and interpersonal skills, and business acumen to recognize and pursue business opportunities. Needs good knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and internet technologies. Knowledge of project management techniques is a
must.
Special Skills: Background in high impact marketing and sales of merchandise a plus.
